This week’s episode spoke to a few of the stigmas that plagues mothers regardless of their journey. There are many more out there and I am well aware that I’m guilty of perpetuating some, either against myself or other women, and recognition of this is what has become the driving force behind this platform. Stigmas thrive in the dark and in our silence. Only when we uncover it and recognise it in ourselves can we truly affect change. Think about the times when you judged yourself or someone else based on your own narrative. Where did that narrative come from? Why do we believe it and succumb to it? Where is the compassion and grace? Each woman’s journey is unique to her and we shouldn’t judge it based on our experiences. How challenging is it to admit to the part you play in perpetuating some of these stigmas?
